In the Sacred Valley of the Incas between Cusco and Machu Picchu a Dutch woman provides children with food, education and medical care on a daily basis. This in turn increases their self esteem, desire to live and perspective on the future.
With her presence life has become more than just survival.

At the same terrain, there are 8 bugalows. These bungalows, located on the side of a hill, are all cosy, each fitted with a fireplace, shower and full-size bathtub.
I´m working here as a volunteer for a year and would be glad to have you as a guest and show you around at the project and tell you everything about the good work.
Most importantly, your stay with us will benefit the project. 100% of the fixed donation per night per bungalow will go directly towards helping the children, as the project doesn’t have any overhead costs.

The location
The project and the bungalows are located in Urubamba, in the heart of the
Sacred Valley, an hour’s drive from the city of Cusco. This makes it the
perfect starting point for daytrips to impressive Inca ruins such as Macchu
Picchu and Ollantaytambo. You can board the train going to Aguas Calientes
(for Machu Picchu) nearby.

If you are interested in helping us by staying here you can sent an email to:

ninosdelarcoiris@kuychi.org

or you can phone me: 0051-849345515

hope to see you !

Ellen

Hi,
I'd like to know what institution you're volunteering for. Name and address (web site address OK).
I know wintertime in the Sierra is frigid cold and I always wonder how these kids spend their cold nights. Or if they have shelter.
Next visit I wouldn't mind spending the night in the Sacred Valley.
Send more info. Pls.
Thxs.

Thank you for the info, Elle.
I'll keep it in mind next time I travel to Cusco.
Normally I stay in local hotels in Cusco, never at the outskirts.
I'll keep in touch regarding accomodations. I'm very particular about that.

Regards.

Walter Carrasco
