Beef/Lamb: Beef Stew
Ingredients
- ½ kilo of beef in pieces
- Oil
- 1 tablespoon of ground garlic
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1 medium chopped tomato
- ½ cup of peas (pre-cooked with water and salt)
- 1 small carrot in slices
- 2 celery stalks cut into 3 cm pieces
- 1 small turnip sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- salt to taste
Preparation
In a pot with hot oil, brown the onion, tomato, garlic, pepper, and paprika. When well browned, add the meat. Cook until golden, then add the vegetables cut to taste, the bay leaf, salt, and a bit of water. Finish cooking on low heat, and finally, add the peas. Serve with white rice.
