Desserts: Pastoruri Flavors
Ingredients
- ½ kg of red prickly pear
- ½ kg of green prickly pear
- ½ kg of mamey
- ½ kg of soursop
- ½ kg of lucuma
- ½ kg of banana passionfruit (tumbo)
- ½ kg of passionfruit
- 7 cups of sugar
Preparation
This preparation is done separately for each type of fruit.
Extract the pulp from the fruits. Cook each fruit separately with one cup of sugar and two ounces of water. Blend them lightly and strain them individually (note: the passionfruit and banana passionfruit should be blended without breaking the seeds). Each mixture is poured separately into thin, long bags like "chupss" or into ice trays. Freeze for at least 36 hours. Serve by cutting small cubes of each flavor or placing one cube of each flavor into colorful cups. Accompany with chirimoya cream or a splash of pisco.
