Chifa (Asian-Peruvian): Pork with Tamarind Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ kilo of roasted pork
- 7 spring onions
- 1 green chili
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 small ground garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 peeled and deseeded tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of seasoning
Preparation
In a pan with oil, brown the garlic, the roasted pork cut into long pieces, the tomatoes in chunks, the chili pepper cut into julienne strips, the seasoning, and the sugar. Add the soy sauce and vinegar. Finally, add the cornstarch diluted in cold water. Stir until it thickens and add the spring onions cut into 3 cm pieces. Remove from heat and serve with white rice.
