Preserves: Fig Honey
Ingredients
- 8 chopped figs
- 3 cups of sugar
- 1 ½ cups of water
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 piece of cinnamon stick
- 4 cloves
- ½ teaspoon of anise
- Peel of 1 lemon
Preparation
Prepare a syrup by boiling the sugar, water, figs, cinnamon, anise, cloves, and lemon peel. When it reaches a syrup consistency, add the lemon juice. Let cool and use.
