Pasta: Noodles in Red Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ kilo of noodles (tallarini)
- ¼ tomato
- ¼ onion
- ½ carrot, finely grated
- ½ turnip, finely grated
- 1 bay leaf with mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon of paprika or red pepper
- Salt
- Celery
- Pepper
- ½ kilo of ground beef
- Oil
- 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Cook the noodles al dente and set aside. Blend the chopped onion and peeled, seedless tomatoes with a little water, and set aside. Grate the carrot, turnip, and celery, and set aside. In a pot with oil, fry the garlic, paprika, and pepper, making sure not to burn them. Immediately add the blended onion and tomato mixture and sauté. Add salt, the beef, bay leaf, and mushrooms, and combine the ingredients. Cover and let it simmer. Then add the grated carrot, celery, and turnip, and cook until the meat is tender. If the tomatoes are too acidic, add a pinch of sugar. Heat the noodles and pour the sauce over them. Mix well and adjust seasoning. Serve immediately and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
