Sauces: Mother Mayonnaise
Ingredients
- 1 whole egg
- 1 cup of oil (approximately)
- 1/2 teaspoon of mustard
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
In a blender, place the whole egg, mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cover the blender jar and remove the small center cap. Through this opening, slowly add the oil in a thin stream while blending. Continue adding the oil without stopping until a thick sauce forms. The more oil is added, the thicker the mayonnaise will be.
