Chicken: Chicken with Fruits
Ingredients
- 1 chicken
- 1 can of pineapple in juice
- 1 cup of white wine
- 1 cup of prunes
- ½ cup of raisins
- 1 cup of chopped onion
- 4 tablespoons of ketchup
- Pineapple juice
- Chicken broth, as needed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 or 2 tablespoons of potato starch
- 1 small can of tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon of butter
Preparation
Cut the chicken into pieces and brown it in a little oil and butter. Add the onions, wine, pineapple juice, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is done. Remove the chicken pieces and set them aside. Strain the sauce and add the chopped pineapples, prunes, raisins, ketchup dissolved in a bit of water, and butter. Pour the hot sauce over the chicken pieces. Serve with white rice.
