Side Dishes: Homemade Beans
Ingredients (8 people)
- 2 chorizos (or sausages)
- 1 ½ kilos of green broad beans
- 100 grams of ham
- 2 bell peppers
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- salt and pepper
- ¼ medium onion
- a pinch of cumin
Preparation
Boil and peel the broad beans. In a saucepan with butter, fry the finely chopped onion with salt and pepper, ham, and the chorizos cut into pieces, bell peppers in strips, and a little ground cumin. Stir without letting the ingredients brown. Add the peeled broad beans and a little broth; cook over low heat until the mixture thickens slightly. Serve hot.
