Pork: Green Peas
Ingredients
- ¼ kilo of green peas
- Pork skin
- 1 small tomato, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of ground garlic
- ½ teaspoon of pepper
- Oil
- Salt to taste
Preparation
Pick and wash the peas. In a pot with oil, sauté the onion, tomato, garlic, and pepper. Once browned, add the soaked peas and a little water to cook, along with the pork skin. Cook over low heat until the mixture becomes creamy. Add hot water during cooking if needed. Serve with rice and onion sarsa.
Note: To reduce fat content, remove the pork skin; the dish is just as delicious.
